Four years ago I collaborated with Christopher Ramirez, a performing artist and filmmaker from UCSC's Master of Fine Arts Digital Media Program. We worked at Alianza Charter School over a period of two years. The first year we created digital stories around puppet theatre, script writing and creating short videos. The second year we created digital oral history stories. Both projects honored families, student home knowledge, higher order thinking skills and a social justice component. How did we collaborate on these projects.
